Pastor Weekly - 8/30/23

Aaron Bohrer

Well, friends, I am going to miss seeing you this evening! But I hope all of you are getting home from work safely and staying dry. Since we will not get to see each other tonight, let me take this opportunity to communicate several catch-up thoughts…

  • Please continue to be in prayer for Sister C. She is doing remarkably well in her recovery and rehabbing at MUSC rehab center next to Trident Hospital. But she has been through a lot and has a long road ahead of her. If you have time, drop by and say hello to her!

  • I am looking forward to our new Sunday morning discipleship time starting this Sunday. My hope has been that many of you that are unable to come for our discipleship time on Wednesday evenings would be free and interested in coming before church on Sundays. I believe it will be an excellent opportunity for you to form deeper connections and a tighter community with brothers and sisters in the church, as well as a great time to build a solid foundation of biblical truth that will greatly impact your life!

  • We are still looking for a few more people willing to be on the nursery and children’s Sunday school rotation. In addition, we really need some help in our tech department so that we could have at least two different teams running the sound booth and trading off each week. If you have any skills or interest in this area, please let me know ASAP.

  • One other area we could use some new volunteers…. is in being on a rotation for cleaning the church. The same few couples have been handling this duty for a long time now, and it would be good to give them some relief. This would involve going into the church for a couple/few hours at your convenience during the week. Fairly simple, but an incredibly valuable ministry which keeps our maintenance costs down.

  • Thanks so much for everybody that participated in the potluck lunch last Sunday and for welcoming the visiting international students. They enjoyed themselves quite a bit and loved the food and the fellowship! Pray that they will return and bring their friends!

Blessings to you all!

Pastor Aaron
