Hello ICC Family!

I am writing this on the plane home after several good days with my family in Colorado. My niece (from Colorado) married a young man from California who she met in Boise, Idaho while on a trip from her university in Kansas. They are honeymooning in Hawaii, and then will quickly move to Michigan where he is finishing physical therapy school. Half of the wedding guests were from California, and the other half were mostly from Colorado and Kansas. I am not sure what this has to do with anything other than noting that the world is shrinking. Or maybe we all just travel a whole lot more than we used to, therefore the world seems smaller and allows us to interact with people from all over. And that is one of the amazing characteristics and blessings of our church - the opportunity to worship and fellowship with people from all over the world!

Regardless of where people are from, though, we are all looking for friends - people that we can share experiences with, and talk to, and eventually bond with and trust. People that become like family to us… and sometimes even closer than family (Proverbs 18:24 says there is a kind of friend that sticks closer than a brother!) Hopefully this is at least somewhat a description of us at ICC - that we are meeting people that are becoming true friends and even family… This Sunday we are going to start a few weeks of looking at what it means to be family with each other.  I do hope you join us!

Blessings to you all.  And know that I am praying for you!
