Aaron Bohrer

Hello ICC Family!

Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

James 1:17 (NLT)

What a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration we had last Sunday!  In the sermon, we looked at how since James 1:17 is true, then our holiday of Thanksgiving is a thoroughly Christian holiday.  There is nothing that we have to be thankful for that did not come from our loving, heavenly Father.  And that is especially true of our salvation.  We closed the service first by watching the video of the wonderful Maverick City song that you can watch again below.  And then we shared a wonderful time of testimony and thanksgiving in praise to the Lord for some of the things that we have been blessed with the past few months.  Many of you were able to share during that time, but I didn’t get a chance to myself!  So here are a few things that I am grateful for.  Just like Sunday… some more important and serious than others…

  • My favorite soda: Diet Dr. Pepper

  • Wonderful parents-in-law that lovingly raised my wife, Laurel; that took care of so many details for us as we lived more than 20 years on the other side of the world; that treasure time with their grandchildren, and that make us feel so at home every time we can come and be with them

  • Watching football during football season.  And especially the world champion Kansas City Chiefs!

  • Pies of any and every kind

  • The Crowfield Bible Club.  We have been meeting together for six weeks now and this is quickly becoming one of my favorite times of the week.  What a joy to be able to study the Word of God together with brothers and sisters in Christ!

  • That Sunday we get to begin another season of celebrating Advent and Christmas!

  • Being able to worship with such a wonderful, unique, and diverse family that we have at International Christian Church.

  • That the Lord, in his incredible mercy and grace, would open my eyes, convict me of my sin, and reveal his extravagant love for me, allowing me to be adopted into his family and brought into his kingdom, forever and ever and ever…  Thank you, Jesus!

I pray that each of you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.  I will miss seeing you tonight but look forward to Sunday!

Blessings to you all.  And know that I am praying for you!
