Hello ICC Family!
This will be a quick check-in with everybody, as there was a Pray Charleston kickoff meeting today that I was able to attend with Brother Tony. More information about that later. Right now, I want to highlight a few opportunities for you to take advantage of…
The first will be this Saturday evening at 7:00PM at the church. Laurel and I will be sharing about our years of ministry in Asia and some of the ways we continue to be involved in missions. You have heard some of our stories during our Sunday worship times, but I would encourage you all to come and hear how the Lord is at work among a people where previously there was no church, no Bible, and no Christians!
Then on Sunday we will begin a new discipleship video series at 9:30. This series is called “If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat.” And will challenge us to take a step of faith if we want to see God do something new and amazing in our lives. I hope that we will all be inspired and challenged to take steps individually, but also corporately as a church!
Finally, let me tell you about a new discipleship opportunity that will start next Tuesday, the 22nd of October. Several people have expressed interest in studying the Bible together and getting deeper into Scripture than we do on Wednesday evenings. That is a goal that I want to encourage and a request that we as a church want to meet. So, we are going to launch a new group that we are calling the Crowfield Bible Club. It will be a weekly gathering for anyone that wants to attend - whether they are regular ICC attenders or not. Come at noon each Tuesday. Bring your own lunch if you would like, however there will be no food served or prepared so that there will be minimal cleanup. The whole point is to provide an opportunity to study the Bible together. Pastor Aaron will be leading this time each week. We can discuss more about it during that first meeting, but we will kick things off on the 22nd. Please join us if you can!
There you have it… several opportunities to be like the Bereans and study Scripture together, as well as to spur one another on to love and good deeds. Don’t forget that there is always our weekly opportunity tonight at 5:45 for our fellowship meal or 6:15 for our Wednesday discipleship time. It would be great to see you there!
Blessings to you all. And know that I am praying for you!
Pastor Aaron
